City Opera House

Grassroots Productions is proud to be partners with the City Opera House, a Michigan Historical Site and one of the oldest operating facilities in the state. The classic venue combines history with workmanship to create crisp acoustics and a unique musical experience that is smoke free and child friendly.

To promote local commerce, Grassroots invites area businesses to sell concessions including sandwiches, pizza, snacks, and beverages. Past participants include: Pangea's Pizza, Popkies Popcorn, Poppycocks, Folgarelli's, House of Doggs, Higher Grounds Coffee, and Short's Brewing Company. The concerts also utilize the lobby as a “personal gallery” to highlight artists from around the area.

The City Opera House Box office is open 8:30am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Please note that all tickets purchased from the City Opera House will be assessed a $2 Recovery Fee per ticket. For more information or directions, call 231-941-8082.
